Your Patient Lost 12 Kilos on Ozempic. You are delighted. They are delighted. But a new study just revealed something nobody saw coming. They are also moving significantly less than before they started the medication. Researchers at ENDO 2026, the Endocrine Society's annual meeting, analysed Fitbit data from 753 adults with obesity taking GLP-1 drugs including Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound. The results were the opposite of what everyone assumed: Average daily step counts fell from 5,047 to 4,487 steps per day after starting medication. Time spent in moderate to vigorous physical activity dropped from 28 minutes to 22 minutes per day. Weight going down. Movement going down too. At the same time.
