A study from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, published in the journal Communications Psychology, is one of the largest and most rigorous investigations into dream content ever conducted. Using artificial intelligence and advanced language analysis, researchers uncovered a clear structure behind dreams. One shaped by personality, life experience, and even global events. What the study found: The research team analysed more than 3,700 detailed reports of both dreams and waking experiences from 287 participants between the ages of 18 and 70. Over two weeks, participants kept daily records of their sleep, thoughts, and experiences. Researchers also collected data on personality traits, cognitive styles, psychological profiles, and sleep habits.
