According to new findings highlighted by Thailand's health authorities, regular e-cigarette users may face twice the risk of erectile dysfunction (ED) compared with non-users, even in the absence of other medical conditions. The findings add to increasing concerns about the effects of nicotine on blood vessels, circulation, and long-term sexual health. Achieving and maintaining an erection depends heavily on healthy blood circulation. When blood vessels function normally, increased blood flow to the penis supports sexual performance. Nicotine, however, can interfere with this process. Researchers explain that nicotine causes blood vessels to narrow, reducing blood flow throughout the body. Over time, this vascular damage can affect organs that rely on adequate circulation including the reproductive system.
