Among the most widely used are: * WS-23 * WS-3 * Menthol These ingredients have become increasingly popular in "ice" and "cool" flavored vaping products, particularly among younger users. While they improve the sensory experience, their long-term health effects have remained largely unknown. Researchers evaluated the cardiovascular effects of cooling agents using both animal models and human heart cells grown in laboratory conditions. The study examined how cooling agents affected: * Heart rate * Heart rhythm stability * Electrical activity of the heart * Autonomic nervous system balance * Ventricular arrhythmias The goal was to determine whether these additives contribute independently to cardiovascular risk beyond nicotine exposure alone.
