Six Small Daily Habits That Are Secretly Wrecking Your Mental Health There are new fads everywhere. Someone tells you to eat only millets, but too much of that can actually block your body from absorbing essential micronutrients. Then there's OMAD, "one meal a day." It might work for people who fast regularly for religious reasons, but for most people, it simply doesn't. Blindly following fad diets is genuinely one of the biggest problems I see. Skipping breakfast might be the worst thing you can do to your body. Even if you're following an intermittent fasting plan where breakfast comes later in the day, don't skip that meal entirely. Any dietician will tell you the same thing, never skip a meal. Count your calories if you want, but don't skip eating altogether. Inadequate protein, inadequate carbohydrates, very high fat foods, and additives like monosodium glutamate all affect us, they increase stress levels and raise blood pressure. Some people are gluten intolerant, so while everyone says chapati is fantastic for health, that's simply not true for everybody.
