    CDC Investigates Multistate Listeria Outbreak Linked to Recalled Soft Cheese U.S. health authorities are investigating a multistate outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to recalled requesón and soft ricotta cheese products manufactured by Clover Hill Dairy. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), eight people across Maryland, New York, and Virginia have been infected with the same outbreak strain. Seven individuals required hospitalization, and one death has been reported in Maryland. The outbreak has prompted a recall of certain Clover Hill Dairy soft cheese products sold through grocery stores and retail outlets. Maryland health officials have also suspended the company's operating license while investigations
